[Movie Review] Transformers: The Last Knight

Assalamua'laikum and hello, everyone! It feels good to finally be back after a long time lol. I'm currently in my fifth semester now (omg, the last semester before my practicum starts!). And yes, I've been so busy juggling with life and schedules — it's such a hectic year for me. Anyway, I went out for a gathering today with bunch of friends which ended up watching the latest movie franchaise of our beloved robots; Transformers. Honestly speaking, I'm not even a fan of this movie frachaise but yes since everyone agreed to watch it — I gave in too. At first I was like, "Damn, how I wish I could watch anything else instead of these robots." and I actually had zero expectations when I entered the cinema hall. I still remembered spending half an hour on watching the long ass advertisments before the movie started, thank god I wasn't asleep because one of my friends did (lmao). Whatever, let's just proceed with my personal review regarding this legendary sci-fi movie (hoho). Gotta put some spoiler alerts too, I guess. FYI, I'm bad t reviewing so I'm just going to write what I wanna write fufufufufu.

Personal review:

As I said in the beginning, I wasn't even a huge fan of Sci-fi movie (which also depends), I didn't even follow the past movies of Transformers but I did know bits by bits regarding the Transformers' background. During the beginning of the movie, I was actually feeling quite anxious since I'm worried that I won't be able to understand about what the hell is happening in the movie because I thought that it would be linked with the previous movie. Honestly, yes it might be linked but I think it was safe to say — it's still understandable even if you guys didn't watch the previous movies. Seriously, I enjoyed most of the journey throughout the movie. It's so thrilling and exciting as hell. For god's sake, I'm actually quite grateful that I didn't let out a loud shriek in the cinema hall because I would be so embarrassed for the rest of my life if that happened.

I guess that I gotta say that I love how the writers linked the Transformer's history with the well-known people. They actually used Lancelot, phew I was like — damn brilliant (ooooops, spoiler alert!). It's very very creative and amusing as well. How I wish that I could have the writers' brains and create such a magnificent plot by my own. Crap, that's gonna damn amazing if that happened (sadly, hun it's not happening T T). Aside from that, I wanna praise the director for the good choices of the casts and crews. I love mostly of the casts especially, Cade Yeager which is played by Mark Wahlberg. Kudos to Laura Haddock who played as Viviane for being able to catch my heart lol, I LOVE HER CHARACTER SO MUCH. Oh oh oh, and not to forget Cogman! If you guys are going to watch this movie, I'm sure that you'll love Cogman for his sense of humour and annoying but funny attitude. Truly, he's the real scene stealer I would say.

Putting that aside, let's talk about Autobots. At first, I was quite confused by the fact that the Autobots got separated again with Optimus Prime but then I kind of managed to catch the gist of it so yeah. The only expectation I had for our guy, Optimus Prime was to play the "hero" character throughout the story. He was a hero, but then there's a moment where he turned out to be a "villain" instead (sighs, another spoiler again). The Decepticon guys were trashy as ever, especially that damn bastard Megatron (sorry not so sorry). I always got an emo attack whenever the Decepticon guys appeared, I was like "Oh my god, can't you guys just disappear and let me breathe peacefully?!"

The ending was good, but I could sense another movie will be coming out soon and I'll make sure to watch it again next time! Even though I'm quite sad that one of my favourite characters was swiped out during the war but yeah, I'm okay with it (NOOOOOOO, I'm not okay please bring him back T T) The Earth was saved and yay, the end! Sorry, I can't spit out the details because if I'm going to do so this post is going to be longer and longer. Apart from that, I learnt a lot of things from this movie. There's a lot of good and inspirational quotes which were included in the movie. Can't remember it well but they kept saying things  like, "No sacrifice, no win." It's undeniably true indeed as in life we won't achieve success without working yourself off. Nothing comes easy, you have to endure the rain before being able to see the rainbow. Lol, I'm trying to sound inspirational again. Last but not least, I would like to recommend this movie to everyone! For the Transformers lovers and followers, it is a must for you guys to watch this movie because you guys shouldn't miss the dope-ness of this movie!
